This year Swiss Police ICT organised the 12th instalment of the National Police IT Congress (SPIK) in cooperation with the Federal Office for Civil Protection (FOCP) and furrerhugi.
The event focused mainly on the challenge of digital transformation. Innovative approaches based on cooperation in the interests of national security were shown in interesting presentations and discussed in plenum.
One of the SPIK highlights was the presentation about the security at the G20 summit in Hamburg in 2017, delivered by Hartmut Dudde, who was the police officer in charge at the time. The congress - and accompanying exhibition - was opened with an eloquent address delivered with the unmistakeable witty charm of cult football manager Hanspeter Latour. Around 800 people from the police corps, business and politics attended the two-day event.
furrerhugi ag received support in planning and staging the event from the live communications agency evenjo ag. The close cooperation resulted in a new image: the standing of the successful police IT congress rose again through the addition of targeted features and branding elements plus user-friendly signposting.
